The IWFS Toronto Branch has had an Alcohol Policy in effect for several years. As part of that policy we encourage Members and their guests to use Public transportation (TTC) or a car service to and from our events.
To make a car transportation service more attainable and easier to use the IWFS Toronto has looked at the available options. We list the some of the services available along with a brief description and any discounts available to you as Members. We encourage you to use this when attending our events.
Most of you have a Smart Phone that can make the use of car services easy to use through an App on your phone.
We have found 4 services easily available in the Toronto area that have Smart Phone App. This involves a free App download to your phone; the App calls the service that dispatches the car service to your location as indicated by the GPS location on your phone. The App in some cases is associated with a Credit Card for no-hassle billing including tip, time & trip identification, distances involved and car/driver number etc. All Apps are free to download.
