IWFS & Nami Restaurant (Zoom) 6:30PM Monday, 2021-01-18

Dear Members,

The Nami sushi and Sake ever was a great success with 27 Members and guests in attendance. The explanation of sushi preparation was interesting and informative in the form of an explanatory video. There is a true art form in preparing sushi properly with fastidious attention detail and appearance. I never understood the different parts of Tuna that allows for completely different texture and flavours, all from the same fish. To refresh your memory here is theYoutube Video link:  https://youtu.be/bIHBHTzYZRU

The remainder of the evening was dedicated to Sake, how it is made, to the ingredients and respective quality of hose ingredients that differentiates premium Sake from the run of the mill Sake. Michael Tremblay, has the rare distinction of being a Sake Samurai. He ran us through the ritual of being inducted into this elite group. Michael is a marvellous resource right here in Toronto. The presentation complete with informative slides and discussion fulfilled the IWFS mandate of exploring new culinary paths. Thank you Michael for a wonderful discussion on the topic, you know your stuff!
